Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our
service. For our complete Policy Guide, please click here.
Why do you charge my credit card 7 days prior to the beginning of the month for next month’s V.I.P.
service?
We require our monthly V.I.P. clients to pay for their
service before the month begins. We require
payment 7 days prior to the 1st of the month.
Can I receive a refund for days not used
during my V.I.P. service?
We allow three cancellations of a V.I.P. walk per month. The fees for these cancellations are credited to your account to be used toward future KbK on-call service (excluding regular V.I.P. service). The cancellation fee is equal to the per walk fee quoted on our rates page for our V.I.P. service. We do this in order to provide your pet care professional with a reasonably consistent schedule and income.
I am a V.I.P. client and only need your service for one week during the month. Why am I being charged a higher rate?
In order to receive our preferred V.I.P. rate, you must use our service at least 12 business days during the affected month. If a credit is given under the above circumstances, but your credit request results in less than 12 walks during the month, you will be charged our normal walk rate.

Can I refer new clients to Karing by Kristina?
Of course! For any new V.I.P. client that you
refer to Karing by Kristina that signs up for service,
we will extend a 10% discount off of your next month’s
service.
I hired Karing by Kristina to provide B&B
service to me and my dog. Why was I charged
for a walk when I picked my dog
up after 10am?
The pricing for our B&B service works much like
a hotel. Your sitter must provide care for your dog when the dog stays with our B&B provider
past 10am. We charge for one walk after 10am and two walks after 6pm.
I want to pay for your service with a check. Why
do I have to keep a credit card on file with you?
We ask that you keep a credit card on file with us
so we can keep your account current if you forget
to send a check by the invoice due date.
I am a new client of Karing by Kristina. Do I need to pay a deposit for your services?
We do require that new clients pay half of their estimated invoice or $50 or more when scheduling service. We also require existing clients to pay half of their estimated invoice of $200 or more when scheduling service.
When and how do you send invoices?
We send invoices within 5 business days after the end of your service. We can send them either via email or snail mail. We prefer to send invoices via email. It allows you to receive your invoice faster and pay via our online bill payment service.
Why do I have to provide two sets of my
house keys to Karing by Kristina?
We ask for two sets of your house keys to maintain
one set in the office while your walker has a set
to provide service. This allows us to seamlessly
continue service if you walker is sick or cannot
provide service for another reason.
What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured
while in your care?
We will immediately take your pet to the veterinary
facility of your choice. Karing by Kristina
will pay up to $250.00 on your behalf to initiate
care of your pet. We will then contact you
to ask your preference for your pet’s care. If
we cannot contact you, we will allow veterinary care
according to the advice of the veterinarian not including
euthanasia.
Can I schedule service directly with my
walker?
We ask that you call our office to schedule service
with your walker. This allows us to know exactly
when the walker will be providing service in case
of emergency and to invoice you correctly. We
also can only provide full bonding and insurance
coverage to you if your appointment is made through
our office.
What are Karing by Kristina Holidays?

What is Karing by Kristina's Inclement Weather Policy?

Please have a shovel and ice handy if necessary.
