Talk about fresh produce, fruit, and bread in plenty.  What an amazing experience I had last weekend.  I was invited to “try” the Farmers Market in Del Ray and see if it would be a fit for Barkley Square.

I don’t know if it was a fit for Barkley but it sure was for me.  Yum, I think I spent the entire 4 hours sampling the goods.  It is unbelievable how all these folks come together in this small space and produce such a variety of harvest for the locals.

Barkley’s table was small but full.  We had a lot of folks stop by and take a “sample” and taste it!  Oops, gotta make sure I am more clear that the samples are for the doggies.  The good news is I didn’t see any tails wag after they sampled the treats.  Hee-hee.

There were a lot of folks that didn’t know we were in town. So, I made a lot of friends and hopefully new customers that will come to the store for my fresh treats…for their dogs.

Come by and see Barkley every Saturday from 8-12 at the Del Ray Farmers Market.

Gigi was interviewed by “Our Town” magazine last week. This is an awesome local paper that supports the little guys.  Check out what Gigi had to say about KbK moving to Del Ray at www.ourtownpaper.com.  Who would have thought I would have dog support Barkley Square and the other KbK.  Wow, I’m so lucky!

So darlings, all I can say is the sun is brighter on the Del Ray patio than it is in the alley of Old Town.  Plus, mommy lets me stay outside in Del Ray.

Wow, it is such a strange feeling to walk into Barkley Square of Old Town now.  The store has so many sales going on that the products are flying out of there. 

We are selling all our fixtures and displays as well so it really looks like a ghost town now.  It is so sad.  I have to say that when my customers come in there is a different attitude about them, it is more solemn verses happy.

I know that once this is over all of my customers will enjoy the new store and all that is going to have to offer. Did you all realize that we will be hosting Yappy Hours with Planet Wine, Wednesday Workshops that are informative on dog and cat related issues, like nutrition, obesity, what is the safe food to eat,etc.  We will also be showing the customers the art of Reiki, Massage and more. 

I just have to keep remembering there is something good at the end of this.

Hello to all my peeps.  It is now no secret that mommy and I are leaving Old Town and setting up camp in Del Ray.  Now, now little chicks that adore me, its ok, I will only be about 10 minutes away.  I am sure your humans wont deprive you of coming to see me.

 Mommy will be selling all the products in the store at a discount. There will be something different on sale each week.  The sales are howl-ing amazing. So, to my dude friends, you gotta get down here and rack up on the grub.  My little chicks, grab your lead, give it to your human and get them in to buy your favorite Juicy or Chewy Vutton outfit you have been drooling over.

 Please check the website weekly for upcoming events in our new Del Ray location, to include Happy Hour with Planet Wine! Yeowwww!! We will be adding a lot of new events and activities for the humans to do with us canines. I know I just cant get enough mommy and me time, so this will be great.

 Cant wait to see you soon in Del Ray, but for now, get into my Old Town store and stock up on the savings.

 Come on man, get away from the hydrant and get on down to the store.
